Future Alarm — Privacy Policy

Future Alarm helps you schedule dependable alarms on future dates and flexible recurrences on your Android device. Core alarms work offline with no account. We do not sell your personal data. The optional voice-command feature processes a spoken command as described below.

What we collect

We do not collect data on developer-operated servers or sell your personal data.

Future Alarm has no developer-operated backend.

• Alarm schedules (labels, dates, times, recurrence rules, sound choices, snooze settings) are stored locally in an on-device database.
• Alarm ring history (time and outcome) is stored locally on your device.
• App preferences such as time-format choice are stored locally.
• A small direct-boot copy of upcoming alarms may be stored so alarms can reschedule after reboot before you unlock your phone.
• No account, email, or login is required.
• No analytics or advertising SDKs in the current release.

Network use

Core alarms do not require the internet. Scheduling, ringing, and manually managing alarms remain on the device.

If you tap Voice command, Android's speech-recognition service converts your command to text. Depending on your phone, that service may process audio on-device or remotely. Future Alarm sends only the resulting text transcript, not recorded audio, to Google's Gemini Developer API through Firebase AI Logic. Gemini extracts the requested date, time, label, and recurrence. Future Alarm validates the response locally and shows it for confirmation before saving an alarm.

Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity sends app and device integrity information to Google to protect the Gemini endpoint from unauthorized use. Voice commands normally require internet access.

Permissions

• Exact alarms — to ring at the date and time you set.
• Notifications — to show ringing alarms, snooze, and dismiss actions.
• Full-screen intent — to show the lock-screen alarm screen when an alarm rings.
• Foreground service — to play alarm sound and vibration while the ringing notification is active.
• Boot completed — to reschedule alarms after device restart or app update.
• Wake lock and vibration — so alarms can ring reliably.
• Set alarm — to respond to Android alarm intents and assistant voice commands that create alarms in the app.
• Microphone — requested only after you start an in-app voice command.
• Internet — used for optional voice-command processing and related integrity checks.

Future Alarm does not request calendar, location, contacts, or broad storage permissions in v1.

Third-party services

Current version: No ads, no cloud alarm sync, and no third-party analytics. Alarm scheduling and ringing run on your device. The optional voice feature uses Android speech recognition, Firebase AI Logic, Firebase App Check, Google Play Integrity, and the Gemini Developer API.

Future updates: If we add optional ads, cloud backup, or other online features, we will update this page before they ship.

Children's privacy

Future Alarm does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will update this page if our data practices change.
